First Aid Quiz

Practitioners of first aid need to obtain advance consent or permission, the so-called “expressed consent” from the patient. To obtain consent, you should identify yourself, describe your level of medical training, and ask if it is all right to help. While administering first aid to an unresponsive victim, consent is implied or assumed, given that a reasonable person would grant permission to receive first aid care if able to do so.
