While traveling with little kids, it is wise to pack snacks and toys to keep them engaged during travel. If kids are old enough to feed themselves, the snacks and games can be kept in the back pockets of the front seats where the kids can reach them. However, more interactive games should be kept to a minimum so that passengers are not harmed in the event of a collision or bump in the road.

Alternatively, kids can be told to wait until the next gas station or until the time the driver can pull over. As tempted as drivers may be to check up on their kids, it is not safe for them to take their eyes off the road.
